Cannabinoids are compounds derived from or based on chemicals found in the Cannabis sativa plant. Cannabinoids act by binding to cannabinoid (CB1 and CB2) receptors in the body. Cannabinoids chemical structures differ by their side chain and location of double bonds within the ring and these variations alter their properties.Cannabinoids include:

• delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)
• cannabinol (CBN)
• cannabidiol (CBD)
• cannabicyclol (CBL)
• cannabichromene (CBC)
• cannabigerol (CBG)
